Don’t repeat alchemy’s failure

Don’t repeat alchemy’s failure

The ancient Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang – the first of the Qin dynasty – wanted the secrets to immortality. Spoiler alert: seeing as how he died over 200 years before Christ, he didn’t quite get there.

Didn’t stop him from trying, though. He conquered an empire, uniting the warring states into what we’d call China.

Then turned it inside out, looking for something to prolong life.

Turns out he was better at conquering than chemistry, though. His court physicians/alchemists/quacks concocted what they hoped was an elixir of immortality. And they went a little heavy with the mercury, which is probably what killed him.

When I first heard this story, I remember thinking:

They knew nothing about cellular biology.

Barely anything about organic chemistry.

Not a whiff of genetics.

And yet they hoped to create a potion to stave off death? Good luck to them. Their best (well, only) hope would be to stumble across a commune of immortals and steal their secrets. Mixing random chemicals creates poison more often than antidotes.

The alchemists were totally outclassed by the problem. Their science wasn’t able to describe what death is, let alone how to stop it.

Modern life can feel the same way sometimes. You want to start a business, meet your soulmate, find fulfilment or regain your health, and it can seem impossible. Like you don’t know where to start.

But you can’t do nothing. In fairness to the alchemist, they had to create something or be executed. Of course they created something entirely by instinct.

You probably do the same. You hear about a new religion, guru, diet, alternative medicine or meditation style and you run with it.

We’ve all done it.

Will it work for you? Who knows. The evidence supports every idea equally well (or poorly).

Right?

Except… that’s not true.

One simple attitude adjustment’s proven to multiply your odds of success. I don’t mean double or triple your chances – I mean ten, twenty, a hundred times better.

It makes you healthier and more creative.

It sends your charisma through the roof.

Best of all, it’s scientifically proven to work.

And it just so happens this dirt-simple, obvious “trick” is the theme of this month’s Awakened Thought. You’ve heard how it helps before – now you can learn it on a deep unconscious level.

Sit back, listen and let your mind shuffle into a better state for success.

But you need to hurry:

Like all Awakened Thought programs, (and Chinese emperors,) they don’t hang around forever.

In fact, you’re time is almost half gone.

You can put it off if you want. Or you could take action now and start next year from a much better place. This time, you’ll have science on your side.

All you need to do is sign up here:
