Red wine hypnosis

If you’re like me, you might sometimes wonder if there’s an easier way to go on a trip.

And no, not the holiday kind.

The world teems with substances that alter your state of consciousness. If you want to go on a ‘vision quest’ or similar, I hear peyote does wonders.

But peyote is a little hard to get your hands on.

Especially in Australia…

So what do you do?

You have three options:

  1. Learn to access those mental states without any mind-altering substances,
  2. Use substances which are legal, safe and closer to home,
  3. All of the above.

If you’re into purity and whatnot, (A) is the best. If you’re a little flexible on that, go for (C).

Yes, you can, in fact, experience an intense hypnotic, spiritual and mentally cleansing state with nothing more than red wine.

I know because I did it… accidentally.

Recently I enjoyed a well-earned glass or two when my right arm decided to do its own thing. I went with the flow and found myself in one of my top ten deepest, most profound hypnotic trances. My eyes closed, my body spasmed and a whole lot of pent-up emotions released.

Wine loosened me up enough for my unconscious mind to take over.

Now, a few things:

One, that doesn’t happen whenever I drink red wine. That would get messy.

Two, if that sounds scary, know that I could have resisted at any time. It’s like the Hero’s Journey – the hero always gets the chance to decline the call to adventure.

Three, if you think alcohol alone will get you to where you need, it won’t.

A lot of folks drink a lot of alcohol without anything like this ever happening to them.

That’s why option (B) above isn’t great – no matter your substance of choice.

I’ve trained my mind to enter deep, cleansing trance states when the time is right – that is, when I need them and when it’s safe to do so.

It took a lot of deliberate practice to be able to do this.

You might like to learn the same thing – for your mind to spontaneously shed itself of so much of its garbage, freeing you like a butterfly emerging from a cliché.

Or you might like your deep trance experiences to be more self-contained.

Either way, you can enjoy this inner cleansing soon.
