The Skill that Creates Opportunities

The Skill that Creates Opportunities

Let’s not pull any punches. You could be doing many things right now. As soon as you finish reading this, you could exercise, study, cook a nutritious meal, work on a side business or spend quality time with a loved one.

Or you could binge eat before firing up some porn.

At every moment, you have a choice. You can use it to enrich your life or you can waste time.

I’m not going to patronise you by saying you can find more time by cutting an hour of TV watching a day. As a life hack, it’s a pretty useless one. No one prefers wasting time to feeling productive… it’s just that sometimes you need to take a breather. Right?

So what’s the simplest thing you can work on, right now, out of everything at your fingertips?

This might be the most important question you can ask yourself.

You have a thousand opportunities, and there’s one that more people need to think about. When you use self-hypnosis to do this, you free yourself to better pursue every other opportunity.

This is something that most people suck at doing. It’s also something that the most successful people excel at.

Chances are that your competitors do well despite lacking this. If you can master it, you’ll easily leave them scrambling to catch up.

Because let’s be honest – most people have terrible focus.

When you can focus on what you’re doing, you’re not focused on anything else. Forget distractions, worries and bad memories. Focusing pulls you away from all that towards… well, whatever you want.

With more focus, you use your time better. You prioritise effectively, ignore irrelevant details and get the job done.

Without focus, it takes ten times as long to do anything. Assuming you ever finish.

This is a golden age for opportunities. Even if you don’t spend a dollar, there are millions of worthwhile things to do, explore and learn.

But even if you don’t spend money, you still spend time and attention.

So train your mind to have more of these. Bolster your attention and you’ll get more done to a higher standard, in less time.

Do you have time to take a course? Train your attention and you’ll have time for two.

And the best part is, when you can effortlessly place your focus on something, it takes all the hassle out of it. If you’re not fighting yourself, you’re a lot less likely to burn out.

So set aside some time, enter into a trance and learn how to really pay attention.

If you’re the sort of person who gets distracted by social media – and I don’t blame you if you are – then you should stop reading. There’s a group that shares advice, techniques and support around ways to train your mind. It focuses on meditation and hypnosis – a community interested in self-improvement.

It’d be a shame if this advice and support distracted you from your life’s purpose. You’re better off focusing on your projects and ignoring the page below:
